:star::star::star::star: Overall
:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Vision
:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Originality
:star::star::star::star::star-half: Technique
:star::star::star::star::star-half: Impact

"Why didn't the mice just go home Mommy? The little girl asked her Mother as she turned her head from Mother's shoulder, towards this woman that sat upon her bed in the dimly lit room at bedtime..." is the impression I get upon impact.

The Mother chose the book because the cover and illustrations caught her Daughter's eye, as she said "I love mice Mommy, aren't they cute?" showing her Mother various illustrations scattered throughout the pages in a whirlwind of attraction to the visual representation, that was as lifelike as an animation can be in the mind of a child not yet jaded by the ugly reality of "growing-up"

I would have liked to have added a half-star to the vision, but it met the condition of "rain", so I could not expect any real backstory. Something "inanimate" somewhere in the background would have brought more of a backstory into the landscape, not needed, but an avenue to be considered in future creations.

Again, that addition of an inanimate object would have allowed for the addition of a half-star in originality as well. I would have liked to have seen more of the top left mushroom as well. Scaling it down a tiny bit, and moving it to the right, getting the top of it semi covered by the flower in front of it, as opposed to that flower robbing it of its rightful place in the image.

Giving that half-star back in technique is well deserved indeed. The technique made it very easy for me to visualize my initial impression on impact, as well as giving back the other half-star for impact. Though there was a lack of backstory in the image, because of the technique, and the overall impact, which was done very well, and made for such a simple visualization, and an enjoyable experience interpreting, the half-stars were easily gained back.
